As one of the Bay Area's newest green communities, Gables End homes are designed and constructed to meet the standards of the Build it Green program. Build it Green is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting healthy, energy, and resource efficient build-ing practices in California.

Regis Homes enthusiastically supports the mission of Build it Green and is proud to present Gables End as a brand new green community in Mountain View. The program sets goals for significant improvements in conserving resources to protect the environment. A key factor to why Gables End is particularly environmentally friendly is that the project is located within an urban growth boundary. The site was built in an already established community taking advantage of existing infrastructure and accessible amenities which reduces suburban sprawl. Regis Homes chose to build Gables End on land that had previously been developed rather than building on undeveloped, new land; this minimizes the possibility of destroying the soil and ecologic system of any living creatures and plants within the area.

Applying responsible construction practices was a top priority for Regis Homes and something the company took great pride in when developing Gables End. Half of all construction and demolition waste was diverted and 25% of crushed concrete used is recycled.

The majority of lumber used to build these remarkable homes come from managed forests and much of the wood used is engineered and made from recycled content. Gables End exceeds California's strict Title 24 code by 16%- meaning that homes are 16% more energy efficient than California guidelines require.

The beautiful cross gable architecture and timeless design is something to admire, but the visually appealing exteriors are only part of what these spectacular homes have to offer. The interiors of all the homes provide an above average environment for living. Regis devoted care to better the indoor air quality of the residences at Gables End. All the homes are equipped with advanced ventilation and water efficiency systems, and furnished with Energy Star appliances.

Gables End resembles a quaint New England village nestled within Silicon Valley. The floor plans are designed for multi-level living with the choice of two, three, and three plus bonus, bedrooms. Spaces are luxurious, light-filled and complete with the highest quality features and finishes. Each home has a private two-car garage with direct access.
